Plasdŵr will be built on land belonging to the Plymouth Estate, represented by Cooke & Arkwright, one of Wales’s leading firms of Chartered Surveyors in Wales. The project development partner is Wales-based Redrow Homes, one of the UK’s leading residential property developers.
LEAD DEVELOPMENT PARTNER
Redrow is one of the UK’s leading residential property developers, aiming to be the developer of choice for customers, colleagues, landowners, suppliers, subcontractors and investors. The company will be developing around 2000 of Plasdŵr’s homes.
Plymouth Estate – Landowner
As the single landowner, the Plymouth Estate is well placed to ensure, through its agent, Cooke & Arkwright, that development takes place in a co-ordinated and coherent way. The fact that the application is to develop land under single ownership is helpful as it eliminates many of the complex land assembly issues normally associated with a project of this scale.
The Estate also feels strongly about creating a place which is seen as a positive legacy to its involvement in the local area – much in the same way that Penarth, a former planned development on land held by the Estate, is regarded today.
Landowner’s Development Advisors
The practice has played a principal role in the Welsh property market and been integral to its development, providing professional advice and commercial property services for over 100 years. It acts for the Earl of Plymouth Estate, landowner in the development of Plasdŵr.
Together, Cooke & Arkwright and Redrow have assembled an experienced team of planning, property and marketing professionals to take Plasdŵr through masterplanning, design, seeking planning approval, gathering feedback and construction.
This team of professionals will grow over time to support community consultation, include more residential and other developers and to market Plasdŵr’s retail, leisure, commercial, health and education opportunities, as well as enabling community-led initiatives:
